[New for 2022] IWC Top Gun now includes ceramic chronographs in "IWC Lake Tahoe" white and "IWC Woodland" green.

At the Watches & Wonders (W&W) exhibition in Geneva, IWC Schaffhausen unveiled two new Top Gun chronographs crafted from beautifully colored ceramic. The Pilot's Watch Chronograph Top Gun Edition "Lake Tahoe" features a white ceramic case and a black dial. The Pilot's Watch Chronograph Top Gun Edition "Woodland" features a dark green ceramic case and dial, with the pushers, crown and case back made from matte black Ceratanium®. Both timepieces are powered by the IWC-manufactured movement, calibre 69380. Both new models will be produced in a limited edition of 1000 pieces per year.

　Both timepieces are robust and reliable chronographs equipped with the IWC-manufactured 69380 calibre, which features a column-wheel design. Furthermore, an antimagnetic soft-iron inner case protects the movement from magnetic fields. The crystals are specially secured in place to withstand sudden drops in air pressure. Both watches are water-resistant to 6 bar and feature the legendary Top Gun logo engraved on the case back.

Unprecedented color engineering

　The use of beautifully colored ceramics in the new Top Gun Chronograph further complicated the design and production process. "IWC Lake Tahoe" and "IWC Woodland" are two completely new ceramic colors developed by IWC. The challenge was to harmonize the newly developed ceramic white and ceramic green hues with the many other elements (dial, hands, rubber strap with textile inlay, luminous material) made of different materials, each with its own specific properties and subject to unique production processes.
