[New for 2022] Patek Philippe Announces New Olive Green Ref. 5205R

Patek Philippe has announced a new model in its Watches & Wonders series, the 5205R, featuring an olive green dial and an 18K rose gold case, adding to the series' lineup of models that display the day, date, and month in arcs.

Olive green dial that speaks to the richness of color expression

　Watches & Wonders 2022 is a time when numerous watch brands come together to unveil new timepieces. Patek Philippe unveiled a variety of new models at the event, but the one we'll be introducing today is one that embodies the brand's ability to express color.

　This model is a new variation of the 5205R, featuring an olive green dial and an 18K rose gold case. This series, which began in 2013, has gradually expanded its lineup, including models with white opaline and lacquered black dials.

　The dial of this contemporary watch features a sunburst finish, creating a gradation of color that deepens from the center to the periphery. The small windows displaying the day, date, and month, positioned in an arc at 12 o'clock, are accentuated by an 18K rose gold frame, enhancing both aesthetic appeal and legibility. This watch also features an annual calendar, which only needs to be adjusted once a year at the end of February.

　The sharply shaped Dauphine hour and minute hands and the hour markers are faceted with a mirror finish, creating a high contrast on the dial. The center of the dial, the subdial displaying the moon phase, and the frame surrounding the entire dial are slightly grooved and plated with 18K rose gold. This design, which emphasizes the displays without losing its elegance, is something only Patek Philippe can achieve.

　To match the dial, the alligator strap attached to the case is a two-tone, deep olive green color, and the included pin buckle is also made of 18K rose gold, so it matches the body seamlessly.

　The transparent case back allows you to see the movement, Cal. 324 S QA LU 24H/206. The carefully finished parts, including the 21K gold rotor, are stunningly beautiful.
