Hublot has unveiled its unique interpretation of a square watch, a shape that is completely new to the brand. The new Square Bang Unico is inspired by Hublot's iconic Big Bang and will coexist alongside the Spirit of Big Bang in the Shaped Collection.
Hublot currently produces three types of watches: round, tonneau, and the masterpiece MP. This time, the fourth shape is square. The in-house Unico movement is round, and fitting it into a square case must have taken a lot of trial and error to enhance the aesthetic.

The modular structure of the case, designed in line with Hublot's DNA, is also complex. The central case has plates on the top and bottom, allowing for countless combinations and transformations. However, this time, the square shape makes it extremely difficult to ensure the case is water-resistant. Hublot has successfully met this challenge, achieving a water resistance of 100 meters. The case size is also an important factor, and like the 42mm Big Bang, it offers an ergonomic and comfortable fit.
The textured rubber strap utilizes the same One-Click system as the Big Bang, secured by two screws at the case attachment point. The new "Chocolate Square" design further emphasizes the Square Bang Unico's distinctive identity, while the interchangeable One-Click system allows users to easily change the look of their watch with a collection of rubber, alligator, and soon-to-be-introduced soft-touch leather straps. The Square Bang Unico also comes in the popular "All Black" finish, as well as titanium, ceramic, and King Gold, all available in the same materials and finishes as existing models.
