To meet growing customer demand, Czapek has long-awaited the establishment of its own in-house workshop in La Chaux-de-Fonds. This new, independent atelier features a large, bright room with windows on three sides overlooking the surrounding greenery. It provides an inspiring workspace for the growing team of watchmakers tasked with meeting Czapek's rapidly increasing orders.
Capek's new workshop
CEO Xavier de Roquemaurel says

Capek celebrated its fifth anniversary in 2020. Until then, the company had been producing up to 180 watches per year. Then, the company faced a new challenge: the coronavirus pandemic. "We had a dramatic choice: to pause like everyone else, or to accelerate," said Xavier de Roquemaurel, the company's CEO. "We realized that watch enthusiasts continue to love watches, and they were excited to see what we were going to do, so we decided to move forward."
Future prospects
The decision paid off. Capek's fan base grew steadily with each new model release, such as the limited-edition Antarctic Passage de Drake Roaring Forties or the Fratello in Viridian Green. These models often sold out within hours of their release, and order books began to fill up.
For the company, this acceleration has been satisfying. "Until then, our cash burn had been like an uncontrollable fire in the prairie," De Roquemaurel recalls. "Now, finally, we were seeing glimpses of green space, which signaled the arrival of Capek's second golden age."
This year, Czapek plans to produce up to 800 watches.
