Casio has unveiled a new collaboration watch with EDIFICE, the "EQB-2000HR," which features the same red paint used on Honda Racing's car badges on the dial parts. Two models will be released on September 30, 2022.

Honda Racing and EDIFICE have been collaborating since 2018, and this is their latest work.
The new EQB-2000HR from Edifice is based on the EQB-2000, which has a case design inspired by the suspension of a formula car, and is finished in the bold red paint of Honda's traditional "red badge."

Solar-powered quartz movement. Operating time from a full charge without solar power generation: approximately 5 months with all functions in use, approximately 19 months with power saving. Stainless steel case (diameter 47.8mm, thickness 10.08mm). Water resistant to 10 bar. Price: 77,000 yen (tax included). Scheduled for release on September 30, 2022.
The red badge, which dates back to the RA271, the first Japanese automaker to compete in F1™ in 1964, is only fitted to Type R cars, which are designed for speed among production vehicles, and symbolizes Honda's racing spirit. It is an iconic symbol coveted by fans. The red paint used for this badge is used to color the X-shaped part in the center of the dial, making it a symbolic icon, and the boldness and strength of a racing car are also incorporated into the design of this watch.

In terms of functionality, the watch employs an in-dial solar system that supplies the necessary power from a solar panel only on the in-dial, allowing for the inclusion of a dial made of opaque material. It also features a mobile link function via Bluetooth. Connecting to the dedicated "CASIO WATCHES" app allows for automatic time adjustment and easy and intuitive setting of world time. Furthermore, stopwatch data measured by the watch can be transferred and displayed on the app, providing support for racing activities.

The band is made of Alcantara®, an Italian man-made leather that is durable, breathable, and soft to the touch, and is also used in the interior of the Type R. The lugs have a four-arm design inspired by the suspension of a formula car.
The surface of the material is treated with a black IP coating, and the red line is color-filled. The tachymeter bezel is also treated in the same way, making this a model that exudes Honda's passion for racing.
