Jaquet Droz presents "The Rolling Stones Automaton," a unique piece dedicated to the legendary rock band

Jaquet Droz has announced that it will be creating a special, one-of-a-kind piece, "The Rolling Stones Automaton," for the immortal rock band The Rolling Stones and their passionate fans. This piece, which faithfully recreates their stage set and brings it to life with an automaton mechanism, will be available to just one Rolling Stones fan in the world.

"If you're born after 1963, you have the sun, the moon, and the Rolling Stones." These words from Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards were no exaggeration.

　The Rolling Stones, a British rock band formed in 1962, have sold over 2 million albums to date and remain a symbol of rock and roll, having been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

　Jaquet Droz has announced that in 2022, the 60th anniversary of the band's formation, it will create a one-of-a-kind piece, "The Rolling Stones Automaton."

What makes this unique piece one of a kind is the faithful reproduction of The Rolling Stones' stage set, created by the Jaquet Droz workshops: from left to right, the board features Ron Wood's Stratocaster and stack amp, Charlie Watts' drum set, Mick Jagger's harmonica and microphone, Ron Wood's Les Paul, and Keith Richards' Telecaster.

　These instruments are primarily made from 18K white gold or 18K red gold, and from drum sets to Mick Jagger's harmonicas, they are hand-engraved and painted with precision down to 0.1mm.

　The paintwork in particular is flawless, with the guitar pickguard, the amplifier's Tolex (leather parts), and even the tweed finish meticulously reproduced.

　The automaton's mechanism also animates the record-like discs and Rolling Stones logo surrounding the stage set. When the spring is wound up, the discs rotate around the stage set for approximately 30 seconds, and you can enjoy watching the iconic "Big Mouth" logo move up and down while its tongue wags from side to side. Incidentally, the record tone arm located above the Big Mouth logo also serves as a power reserve indicator.

　The case back is made of sapphire crystal, and the back of the movement can be seen through the openwork 18K red gold rotor. The "1/1 (One of One)" engraving on the outer periphery certifies that this is a unique piece.

　This exclusive piece, available to just one fan, allows fans to choose from the six album covers depicted on the disc and the engraving on the case back from the following 23 albums, a fitting specification for a unique piece by The Rolling Stones, a band that has produced countless hits.
