Dior Grand Soir Automata Etoile de Monsieur Dior
The new Dior Grand Soir Automate collection is inspired by Christian Dior's passion for the bounty of nature and the signs of destiny. Pressing a small push button hidden in the crown sets the mechanical automaton in motion for approximately 30 seconds, magically breathing life into the elements on the dial and unfolding a poetic story.
The dial features symbols that accompanied Dior throughout his life: the star that guided him when he decided to found an haute couture house, the iconic location of 30 Avenue Montaigne, and its constellation, Aquarius. As a shooting star passes over the horizon, the automaton mechanism causes Christian Dior's lucky star to twinkle in the night sky, surrounded by clouds of pearl, inviting you to a peaceful reverie.
