Oomiya, a watch specialty store founded in 1978, is celebrating its 45th anniversary this year. To commemorate this milestone, the company is releasing a limited edition Grand Seiko model, the SBGA483. This rare piece, available only at Oomiya's Wakayama flagship store and Kyoto store, is limited to just 100 pieces.

Automatic Spring Drive (Cal. 9R65). 30 jewels. Power reserve: approximately 72 hours. Stainless steel case (40mm diameter). Water resistant to 10 bar. Limited to 100 pieces at Oomiya's Wakayama flagship store and Kyoto store. Price: 649,000 yen (tax included). Scheduled for release on Friday, March 24, 2023. Pre-orders are now being accepted.

Oomiya produced a store-exclusive model in February 2021, the year Seiko celebrated its 140th anniversary, which sold out immediately upon release. This model follows on from that. The previous model was inspired by "moonlight shining on a snowy field at night" and featured a dark gray dial, while the new model is inspired by "sunlight shining on a snowy field at dawn."

The color and texture of the snow-white dial of the SBGA211, one of Grand Seiko's popular models from the Heritage Collection, has been retained, and the sunlight shining through it has been expressed in gold on the logo, second hand, and power reserve indicator hand. The dial captures the scene of sunlight shining through a clear snowy field the day after a moonlit night. Using Grand Seiko's signature die-stamping technique, the dial expresses a cheerful scene that heralds the arrival of spring and a bright future.

The gold-colored “GS” logo, second hand, and power reserve hand stand out against the snow-white dial, which features eye-catching organic irregularities.

This model is unique in that it is the first to feature a snow-white dial in a 44GS case. Oomiya, a watch shop with a long history, is imbued with the gratitude of all Oomiya employees for the 45 years of support they have received from so many people, and their desire to continue walking together with many people into the future.

This model is equipped with the highly accurate Spring Drive Caliber 9R65. It features a Magic Lever automatic winding mechanism that ensures high winding efficiency and maintains a power reserve of approximately three days (approximately 72 hours). The surface of the bridge and the automatic winding rotor are decorated with a wave pattern, which can be seen from the case back.

The case back is transparent, and the gold-colored lion emblem and the words "Limited Edition" indicate that it is a limited edition model.
