Hamilton's new Khaki Navy Open Water Auto model has a 41mm case diameter.

Hamilton's Khaki Navy Open Water Auto is designed for precision, legibility, and durability, and its unique crown protector and wavy rubber strap make it a tool that allows you to feel the power of the sea. This new model comes in a compact 41mm size, making it easy to use for a wider range of people.

A versatile tool watch

　During World War II, underwater operatives who conducted military operations were called "frogmen," and they wore Hamilton military watches that were designed to withstand even the harshest environments.

　Equipped with a canteen-shaped screw-down crown to protect the mechanism from water and a highly visible dial, this robust watch was a reliable companion even on dangerous missions in the deep sea. It was released to the general public in 1951 and also made its screen debut in the film "The Frogmen" (released in 1962).

　This reinterpretation of the watch as a modern adventure watch pays homage to its military roots while retaining the DNA of the original. The latest model features a 41mm case and a unidirectional rotating bezel with raised numerals and indices for increased grip. Following the design of the original, the screw-down crown is protected by a robust bridge-type crown guard, ensuring water resistance to 30 bar (300 m).

High visibility even in dangerous environments

　Visibility is especially important when a watch is used underwater. For this reason, the Khaki Navy Open Water Auto features a black or khaki green dial coated with Super-LumiNova® to ensure accurate readings in any environment. Orange accents on the minute and second hands add character to the dial design, while the split Arabic numerals at 12 o'clock enhance the military watch aesthetic.

　Like the 46mm model, the 41mm Khaki Navy Open Water Auto is equipped with the Caliber H-10 automatic movement, which boasts a power reserve of approximately 80 hours and a Nivachron® balance spring that is resistant to shocks, sudden temperature changes, and magnetic fields.

　The straps are either a wavy rubber strap or a stainless steel bracelet, reminiscent of the rippling surface of the ocean, and complete the look. Four models are available: a khaki dial with a black rubber strap, a black dial with a khaki rubber strap, a black dial with a black rubber strap, and a black dial with a stainless steel bracelet.
