Richard Mille is currently running the inaugural Richard Mille Cup, a vintage yacht race. From June 10th to 25th, the regatta will attract enthusiasts and collectors of historic yachts, running from Falmouth, England, to Le Havre, France, with inshore and offshore races taking place along the coast, passing through the sailing hotspots of Dartmouth and Cowes.

The specially crafted, one-metre-tall trophy was designed by Garrard, a jeweller who has been the official supplier to the British Royal Family for 300 years and has also designed sporting trophies, including the first America's Cup 170 years ago. The winner will receive a 40cm handcrafted replica, also by Garrard.

The Richard Mille Cup philosophy is defined by the word "authenticity," showcasing the beauty and splendor of handcrafted vessels. "But restoration alone is not enough. That's why it's so important to involve yacht clubs and for competitors to mingle in an atmosphere that evokes the true spirit of the pre-war era," Richard Mille said. Fifteen yachts from the late 19th century to the late 1930s will compete in the schooner and cutter categories.

The Richard Mille Cup is scheduled to be held in Portugal in South America in 2024 and across the Atlantic on the East Coast of the United States in 2025.
