The Citizen mechanical model equipped with the Cal. 0210 movement with a date display will be released as a limited edition model at select stores in the winter of 2023. Like the Cal. 0200, the Cal. 0210 was completed through a pursuit of precision in each and every component and a high level of finish, and its details reflect one of Citizen's philosophies: "always looking ahead and pursuing the ideal."

The dial features the brand's symbol, the "Eagle Mark," which can also be seen on the 22K gold oscillating weight of the see-through caseback, a symbol of The Citizen.

Introducing a new model equipped with the Cal. 0210, which adds a calendar to this classic watch.

The Cal. 0200 is an automatic movement developed exclusively for The Citizen and released in 2021. A new movement, Cal. 0210, based on the Cal. 0200 and adding a date display, has been announced, along with a new model equipped with it.

Automatic movement with manual winding (Cal. 0210). 26 jewels. 28,800 vph. Power reserve approximately 60 hours. Stainless steel case (diameter 40.0 mm, thickness 11.2 mm). Water resistant to 10 bar. 880,000 yen (tax included).

Like the existing movement, Cal. 0200, the new movement, Cal. 0210, uses a free-sprung system that provides excellent long-term sustainability of timekeeping accuracy, achieving an average daily rate of -3 to +5 seconds.

The watch maintains the same design philosophy of achieving both high precision and aesthetics through meticulous finishing of every detail, with the layout of the gear train components calculated after countless calculations, and a focus on component precision and finish. This model, along with the date display, is also water resistant to 10 bar, further enhancing its practicality for everyday use.

The case has no lugs and is made up of flat surfaces, with a bracelet connected to it.

The bold lugless case and bracelet are polished to a rough hairline and mirror finish for a sharp finish. The brilliance emanating from the bracelet when worn is particularly striking, and the dials of both the white and black models feature patterns created using the electroforming technique, creating a rich expression with their own unique shadows.

The automatic movement, Cal. 0210, can be seen through the see-through case back. The rotor, which has been heavily hollowed out and made heavier around the periphery, achieves both lightness and high inertia. The automatic winding mechanism uses unidirectional winding, just like the Cal. 0200. This ensures excellent winding efficiency even when working at a desk with little arm movement.

Electroforming is a metal transfer technique that uses an electrochemical reaction to attach metal ions to the surface, making it possible to create detailed designs. The dial shows different expressions depending on the angle, creating a sense of shadow, so you will never get bored of looking at it for a long time.

The layout and gear train have been carefully calculated to ensure that each and every part looks the way it should. The movement design, based on straight lines, and the diamond cuts applied down to the finest detail enhance the three-dimensional effect.

All models undergo rigorous in-house testing over a period of 17 days before the bracelet is attached. As proof that the watch has passed the test under various conditions, including six positions and three temperature settings, a certificate of in-house standard testing is attached to the watch itself.
