Quartz movement. ABS resin case (36.0mm diameter, 12.0mm thickness) (32.0mm diameter, 11.0mm thickness). Water resistant to 10 ATM. Limited to 500 pieces each. 6050 yen (tax included). Release date: July 13, 2023.

The concept is "pair"

This model was designed by Masaru Suzuki, a textile designer who has previously worked for the Nordic textile design brand Marimekko, based on the concept of "pairs." The lineup includes happy designs that will make you want to wear matching items with your loved ones, whether that be parents and children, friends, or lovers.

The hour hand is blue and the second hand is pink, so you'll feel happy every time you look at the watch.

The small canvas of the watch is decorated with playful motifs that spark communication, such as a border pattern with a subtle snake hidden inside, and a free-spirited, energetic floral pattern. The numbers on the dial are designed to be easy to read even for small children, while still maintaining a pop design.

There is also a snake hidden in the dial design, and its humorous expression is soothing.

All models are equipped with "Smile Solar," a photovoltaic power generation system that can be charged using sunlight or indoor light, eliminating the need for periodic battery replacement. They are also water resistant to 10 atmospheres, making them ideal for playing in the water during the summer.

Comment from Masaru Suzuki

"I think watches are an item that is easy to wear as a pair. Even if you think that pairing is somehow embarrassing, I hope you will enjoy the joy of wearing them together with your special someone. Of course, I also recommend enjoying them individually. Choose your favorite pattern and color and try incorporating them into your daily outfits."

It's worth noting that the 32mm model has a different hand design. Not only does this improve legibility on the smaller dial, but the thick blue hands also have the effect of tightening the overall design and balancing it out.

What is Q&Q?

Q&Q is a brand that has supplied over 1000 million watches annually to approximately 120 countries around the world since its launch in 1976. The name Q&Q comes from the concept of Quality & Quantity (providing high-quality products to as many people as possible), and the brand offers a wide range of designs, focusing on environmentally friendly solar-powered watches and radio-controlled watches that do not require adjustment.

The 32mm model also has a snake hidden on the dial, although it is so subtle that you would not notice it unless you were told.

The film's series, "SmileSolar," is a new series launched in 2013 under the concept of "TIME FOR EVERYONE - Happy times for everyone on earth," and a portion of the profits are donated to Table for Two, a non-profit organization that provides school lunches to children in Asia and Africa.
