Citizen has released two new models in collaboration with its professional sports watch brand, Promaster, and Marvel's Spider-Man, a work that enjoys immense popularity worldwide.
The company has been the official timepiece for Marvel New Media Creative Space since 2018, and has released a number of unique models with superhero motifs. This latest collaboration is no exception, and the details unique to this model shine through.
This model is based on Miles Morales, the second Spider-Man. The coloring is inspired by the red and black spider suit he wears. The mask at 12 o'clock is similar to that of the Spider-Man model, but upon closer inspection, you can see that it is clearly depicted differently. Solar-powered quartz movement. One of the two variations is the "Promaster Eco-Drive Diver 200m" BN0250-07L, which is based on the familiar Spider-Man character played by Peter Parker.
The other is the Promaster Eco-Drive Diver 200m BN0255-03E, which is based on Miles Morales, the second Spider-Man, the protagonist of the animated film Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, the sequel of which was released in theaters in June of this year.
The Spider-Man model is red and blue, while the Miles Morales model is red and black, capturing the distinctive features of each Spider-Man suit.
The watch also incorporates the charm of the character throughout, with the Spider-Man symbol in the center of the dial and a mask on the index at 12 o'clock. The iconic phrase engraved on the case back is sure to excite fans.
Both models are full-fledged diver's watches that meet ISO standards, with 200m water resistance and a unidirectional rotating bezel. They are equipped with the company's signature light-powered quartz movement, Eco-Drive, which allows for continuous use without the need for periodic battery changes. The straps are made of urethane, ensuring a comfortable fit even underwater.
This work will be sold in a limited edition box with the same catchphrase printed on the case back, and only 500 of each model will be sold. The release date is August 1, 2023.
