Edox "THE WATER CHAMPION" creates a collaboration between utility and gold color

Edox is a brand that specializes in sports watches with excellent waterproof performance, and has released two new models that continue this tradition while being dressed in a stylish gold color.

　Christian Otz, Director and Sales & Marketing Director of Edox, who visited Japan from Edox headquarters the other day, shared the following with us: I met him when Edox re-launched in Japan in 2007, and he is like a walking encyclopedia of Edox.

"Edox is not aiming to be an expensive luxury watch. We aim to be the best in this price range. On top of that, Edox's dream is to be ranked among the top five in the world in the segment of highly waterproof sports watches. For example, we would like to be a brand that people who always buy suits from famous brands would choose when they want something different every once in a while. We want to be a brand that sells suits made in a small, family-run factory in Italy, but that, upon closer inspection, reveals to have a long history and tradition."

　The two new works were probably created to make Edox's dream come true.

The Neptunian Grande Reserve Date Automatic was originally the Skydiver, a reproduction of the 1969 military diver's watch released in 2019. It evolved into the Skydiver Neptunian Automatic in 2021, and was renamed the Neptunian Automatic in 22. The Neptunian introduced here is the latest variation model added to that collection. Its greatest feature, as the Grande Reserve model name suggests, is that it has a longer power reserve than the Neptunian Automatic. The case diameter has also been reduced from 44mm to 42mm. By reducing the water resistance from 1000m to 300m, the case thickness has also been reduced, giving it a lighter, more stylish impression.

The Chrono Offshore 1 Chronograph is the latest addition to Edox's flagship Chrono Offshore 1 collection. The Chrono Offshore 1 is a tough series that embodies the world of powerboat racing, often referred to as the "F1 of the seas." This model also boasts a high level of water resistance to 1000 meters of saturation diving. The large 45mm titanium case is equipped with an automatic helium escape valve at 9 o'clock.

　Both watches are symbolic of Edox's new designs, inheriting the company's technology and tradition since it obtained a patent for its revolutionary double O-ring waterproof mechanism in 1961 and has since developed highly waterproof sports watches under the slogan "The Water Champion."

　What's more, both watches are finished in a stylish gold color (PVD), which gives them the toughness you expect from Edox while also making them look even more chic and elegant.
