Anniversary Models Available at the World Watch Fair

There are always a few anniversary models every year, such as the ●▲ anniversary of the company's founding or the ■◆ anniversary of its birth. However, this year is a bit special. It may sound strange, but it's a good year for anniversary models.

The most notable of these is the 50th anniversary of the Zenith El Primero and Tag Heuer Monaco, revolutionary chronographs launched in 1969. 1969 also marked the debut of the Seiko Astron, the world's first commercially available quartz model, which is also celebrating its 50th anniversary. 1969 also marked the 50th anniversary of the Omega Speedmaster, which accompanied the first successful moon landing by Apollo 11.

1969 also saw the holding of Woodstock, which makes us realize once again how special a year it was, but it was also a special year in the watch world.

This model commemorates the 50th anniversary of the Speedmaster, which was used during the Apollo 11 moon landing in 1969 and became the world's first watch to land on the moon. It comes with a special box made from spacesuit fabric and a display stand modeled after the lunar module.

Seiko "Astron Quartz Astron 50th Anniversary Model SBXC035"

This model commemorates the 50th anniversary of the world's first quartz wristwatch, "Quartz Astron," which Seiko pioneered in 1969. The lineup includes 10 models based on the "5X Series," the highest performance Astron model ever, which was announced last fall.
